Tasmin Malcolm secures acquittal of 77 year old alleged to have stabbed his friend in the neck

Tasmin Malcolm, instructed by Catherine Mescall of Lansbury Worthington Solicitors, successfully defended a 77 year old man accused of wounding with intent contrary to section 18 of the Offences Against the Person Act 1861 after a six day trial at Isleworth Crown Court.

The allegation was that the Defendant had stabbed his friend in the neck in a rage. The wounding was accepted, with the trial issue being self-defence.

The Defendant was also acquitted of three counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm contrary to section 47 of the Offences Against the Person Act 1861 alleged by his daughter during the same incident.
