Laura Herbert yesterday addressed the first English-Polish Law Day, hosted by the Warsaw Bar Association, the Polish Bar Foundation and the Bar Council of England and Wales. This was an excellent opportunity for Polish and British barristers to discuss a number of cross-jurisdictional matters which are currently generating significant legal work between the two jurisdictions.
Laura presented a well received seminar on the implications of Brexit on the European Arrest Warrant and set out options as to what may replace it.
Copies of her hand out can be found here.
Laura has particular experience working with Polish lawyers to compromise a European Arrest Warrant issued by Poland; has worked with a number of Polish lawyers who are dual qualified in the UK; and with lawyers in Poland who have assisted obtaining relevant information for the UK courts.
