GPS Data Leads to Drugs Acquittal


Tana Adkin QC, instructed by Steve Law of EBR Attridge Solicitors, represented at trial in Canterbury a Lithuanian national, Ricardas Gudelis accused of importing 30kg of cocaine with an estimated street value of £3.2 million.  She secured Mr. Gudelis’ acquittal yesterday by using GPS tracking data to challenge the interpretation of tachograph recordings.  Tachograph experts were called on behalf of the Prosecution and the Defence.
