Alexander dos Santos represents nurse at Coroner's inquest

Alexander dos Santos, instructed by Pam Sandhu of the Royal College of Nursing, acted before the Assistant Coroner of Nottingham in an inquest. The deceased had died of acute meningitis and acute broncopneumonia The hearing focussed on the appropriateness of treatment provided by clinicians and in particular proper prescribing practice in relation to antibiotics. Examination of medical experts including a pathologist and GP addressed the concerns raised by the family and joined together the relevant parts of the evidence. In a short form narrative conclusion, the Assistant Coroner found that This was a sad natural death … there were no omissions in care which caused or contributed to death.”
