Administrative Court upholds TPIMs against three alleged members/leaders of Al-Muhajiroun

The Administrative Court has handed down judgment in the section 9 review hearing of three individuals, referred to as LG, IM & JM, who had been made subject to Terrorism Prevention and Investigation Measures (TPIMs) pursuant to the 2011 Act on 14th June 2016. The review hearing took place over 3 weeks in March and April 2017. It was alleged that each of LG, IM & JM ‘are members of, and are or were senior leaders’ of Al-Muhajiroun – see para 12 onwards.

The Court upheld the TPIMs subject to amendments to a number of the measures. The Court initially dealt with generic matters before moving on to deal with LG at paras 81-151, IM at paras 152-213 and then JM at 214-283.
