Darren Snow was recently invited by Paula Porter, head of professional discipline and regulatory law at Thompsons Solicitors to speak at their training day for regional officers of the Royal College of Midwives. Darren delivered a training session focused upon the important role played by the RCM’s representatives working with defence legal teams when defending midwives in disciplinary proceedings. He focused upon case preparation in NMC hearings, evidence gathering & disclosure, and the challenges defending in dishonesty & Integrity cases. Darren also spoke about his recent experiences of the NMC’s new practice of engaging with complainants in fitness to practice cases.
