Tomor Bahja (2006, Lincoln's Inn)
Tomor joined Chambers recently as an Associate Tenant. He is an expert in the area of immigration, asylum and judicial review. He also practices in crime.
He appears regularly in the First-tier Tribunal (IAC) and the Upper Tribunal (IAC). He is also instructed regularly to advise on judicial review cases in the High Court. He was recently involved in a murder case. His ability to identify and address legal issues in a proper context has been positively commented upon by colleagues and members of the judiciary.
He employs a strong working ethics in all dealings with his lay or professional clients, colleagues and the court.
Jacqui has been a door tenant at Charter for over fifteen years and is National Head of the Bar Practice Training Course. She also sits on the Bar Standards Board Education and Training Committee.
Alison Slater (1996, Middle Temple)
Alison left Charter to work at the Civil Aviaton Authority where she is now responsible for the CAA's Investigations and Enforcement Team and the Investigating Officers who carry out the criminal and regulatory investigations within it.
Kris Gledhill (1989, Inner Temple)
Kris was a tenant in Charter for a number of years prior to his move with his family to Auckland, New Zealand where he is now the Director at the New Zealand Centre for Human Rights Law, Policy and Practice. He is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Auckland. Kris is on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Commonwealth Criminal Law and has recently written ‘Defending Mentally Disordered Persons’ published by LAG (2012)
