Chloé Barton
Chloé completed her pupillage with Charter Chambers in February 2008 and has a predominately Criminal Defence practice with experience in the Youth Court, Magistrates’ Court and Crown Court.
She is a member of the Howard League for Penal Reform, and has a particular interest in the history of prisons and how they operate today. She is also a partner in campaigning for the NSPCC.
Practice Profile
R v McKenzie – ABH at Inner London Crown Court
R v Fowler – Racially Aggravated Common Assault at Kingston Crown Court
R v Hackshaw – Appeal against Sentence in the Court of Appeal. 6 months quashed and replaced with a sentence of 6 weeks.
R v Seyedi – Possession with Intent to Supply Class C at Isleworth Crown Court. Defence of duress run for the period of the drug dealing which was 8 months.
