Miscarriage cases in the Court of Appeal have resulted in quashing convictions in 7 murder cases (Sheila Bowler, Jacqueline Fletcher, Mark Cleary, Bernard Murphy, Thomas Campbell, Tarlochan Singh Gill and Matthew Richardson). Other Court of Appeal successes include quashing 24 West Midlands Serious Crime Squad convictions.
