Ministry of Justice bomb hoaxer saved from prison
A Ministry of Justice employee was saved from a custodial sentence today after pleading guilty to a bomb hoax. Andre Lake, an MoJ employee in the Youth Justice Unit, admitted making a hoax 999 call to police from his place of work stating that there was a bomb in the MoJ building. He was also charged with possession of 12 smalls bags of cannabis that were later found at his home. Charter barrister Lara Maroof secured an 18 months Community Order for Mr Lake at his sentencing hearing today.
