Lottery Winner's Wife Cleared
The wife of a lottery winner, Tracy Sinclair-Robinson, was cleared of fraud and theft charges and given a conditional discharge. The trial was halted after she admitted forging her then husband's signature but the judge directed that she had neither stolen from nor tried to defraud her husband.
Charter barrister Jonathan Rose had told the court that the husband, Anthony Robinson was fully aware that she was signing his name, and that he knew what their money was being spent on.
Read in the Daily Mail some background to the case, and a report of the dramatic and sudden end of the trial here.
