Charter barrister Tana Adkin successfully prosecuted a mother who kept the dead body of her daughter hidden for four months. The crime came to light when bailiffs came to repossess the house because of unpaid rent.

Bailiffs and police were appalled by the state of the body, hidden under bin bags beneath a bay window. The defense agreed that there are no guideline cases.

Sentence for preventing a legal burial is pending, awaiting psychiatric reports.
