Biography

Peter joined Chambers on successful completion of his pupillage and is regularly instructed to defend in the Magistrates, Youth and Crown Courts. He has also recently been appointed to the Crown Prosecution Service Advocate Panel for general crime level 1. With extensive experience of representing youths and vulnerable defendants, Peter has received praise for being a diligent and tenacious barrister with very good client care.

Prior to the bar Peter worked as a research assistant at the Law Commission, working primarily on the Bribery project and on Criminal Liability in Regulatory Contexts. Peter has also complemented a commitment to human rights developed during his MA degree with pro bono work including advice for Liberty’s letters clinic and writing a chapter on torture for the Burma Human Rights Yearbook 2007.
